Eric had a distinguished thirty-two year career with both the Executive and Legislative branches of the federal government. Included in his vast experience was his service as a federal Inspector General, specializing in the oversight, audit, and investigation of government programs, contracts, and operations. He has served in executive positions with Offices of Inspector General at the Department of Defense, Defense Intelligence Agency, and CIA, and was the longest serving Inspector General of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) from 2003-2009. At the NRO, he presided over a highly successful procurement fraud prevention and detection program, widely recognized by the Department of Justice as a model throughout the federal government.
In 2009, Eric was appointed Senior Advisor to the Director of the NRO for Procurement Integrity where he helped the Director ensure that the NRO's industrial partners were meeting their integrity and ethics responsibilities required by law and federal regulations. His work involved the real time assessment of corporate ethics and compliance programs at over forty government contractors including some of the world's largest corporations in the aerospace, military and public contracting fields. During his tenure as a Federal Inspector General, Eric worked with the Department of Justice in establishing programs to prevent and detect fraud in the federal acquisition program. As Inspector General, he helped to recover millions of taxpayer dollars in matters involving overpricing, kickbacks and other forms of fraud. A former Senior Intelligence Service Officer, Mr. Feldman is a 1995 graduate of the Federal Executive Institute, and is both a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Inspector General (CIG). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Association of Inspectors General, and was the founding President of the California Chapter. Eric was named as a Fellow of the Ethics Resource Center in 2014. Eric is a frequently sought-after speaker on the topics of procurement fraud detection and prevention, corporate business ethics and compliance, and managing an Inspector General function. He is also a member of the faculty of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Eric joined Affiliated Monitors because the work represents a continuation of his career-long commitment (and passion) for pursuing proactive, preventive remedies to contractor fraud and misconduct issues while ensuring accountability for taxpayer dollars. |
